Dear Ride Janie Ride Family,
After 20 unforgettable years, we share this announcement with both gratitude and emotion:
May 3rd, 2026 will be our final Ride Janie Ride.
For two decades, the Ride Janie Ride Foundation has united our community with one shared mission—to pay it forward. What began as an effort to help ease the financial burden of cancer treatments for our dear friend Janie Bawel grew into something far greater than any of us could have imagined. Through your unwavering generosity, compassion, and support, Ride Janie Ride evolved into a powerful movement of hope, strength, and love.
Since 2007, we have had the honor of supporting 97 recipients as they bravely battled various forms of cancer. Each year, your commitment has allowed us to stand beside individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. In 2026, we will proudly continue this mission, ensuring that our nominated recipients receive the same compassion and financial assistance you have always helped us provide. As in every year past, every dollar raised will go directly to those in need.
Serving on the Ride Janie Ride Board has been one of the greatest honors of our lives. The friendships made, the lives touched, and the spirit of giving that you have helped foster will remain with us forever. While the 2026 event will mark our final ride, the impact of this community—your impact—will continue to live on in the countless lives you have helped uplift.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for riding with us, supporting us, and believing in this mission for the last twenty years. We look forward to celebrating this final kick-off and ride with all of you as we honor our past, uplift our 2026 recipients, and close this chapter together—with gratitude, pride, and love.

Our first event is our 2026 Kickoff event. Our event will be held on Friday, March 6th at Heroes West in Lemont. This is a free to attend event!
